The countdown to Christmas is on and I am sharing a fun free printable advent calendar to countdown to Christmas day, the day of Jesus’ birth.
Every year, as part of our December activities, the kids take turns using dot markers to check off each day closer to Christmas. While we know that Jesus wasn't actually born on December 25th, we LOVE celebrating His birth and wait with anticipation for Christmas day when we celebrate his birthday. This simple little countdown has become one of our favorite little traditions.
Having fun during the Christmas season is so magical, but we cannot forget the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus’ birth, so this Journey to the Manger printable file is the perfect way to remember to discuss the journey Mary and Joseph took to Bethlehem and all the events that took place leading up to Jesus’ birth.
Simply print off either the color or black and white printable file, display, and mark off each day. You can use dot markers, glue on pom poms, use star stickers, some other fun manipulative, or simply color it in with crayons or markers. Make it fun and use what you have on hand.
