Love is in the air. Oftentimes we tend to think of Valentine’s Day as a holiday that adults celebrate and I wanted to make sure that my children felt the love too so this year I am making sure that I include my little ones and I would love for you to join me for my 14 Days of Love for Kids Love and Activity Challenge.
So what is this challenge you ask? It’s a super simple love and activity challenge that I hope will be an extra bright spot in both you and your children’s days.
Beginning on February 1st you will simply start by writing something you love about your child everyday onto a heart or piece of paper and give it to them. Maybe you have cute little mailboxes you use on Valentine’s Day or envelopes or you just sit it at their spot at the table before breakfast. However you would like to give these to your child is up to you. You can display these so that you can go over them everyday, maybe on their bedroom door or somewhere in their room.
We tell our kids we love them everyday because we do, but what are those things you truly do love about them? Maybe you love the way they giggle or their kind heart for helping people. Truly take this time to write meaningful notes to your kids, big and small.
I am going to be adding the notes to these adorable little tin mailboxes I picked up at Walmart for only 98 cents. I do know Target Dollar spot has had them before as well.
The second part of this challenge is the activity challenge. The printable calendar below has one simple, easy to put together, Valentine Themed activity you can do with your child every morning (or whenever works best for you.) Prep the materials the night before and have them ready to go for the next day when you give your child their “love note.”
For all the items that will fit, I will be adding them to our little mailboxes and for those that won’t I will add an extra note inside explaining what our activity is for the day.
I have included a supply list in the printable download below so you can easily see what you will need as well as a printable Bible Verse page to use during the month.
I hope this activity will be something that brings you closer to your children and that you all have fun with it.
Will you be joining us? We would love to have you join in on this challenge. We will be posting our daily activities on our Instagram Page and using the hashtags #14daysofloveforkids & #mnt14daysofloveforkids. Please hashtag your pictures with these tags so we can see all of the love and fun being spread throughout the world. Also we will be sharing our daily pictures among others in our Totschool and Preschool Facebook Group. Come on over and join us!!!
