DIY Kid Made Picture Frame Gift Idea

I like to have Little Miss make gifts for the special people in her life for Christmas. When I was trying to come up with something for Mr. Mac-n-Taters I kept coming up empty. I wanted it to be something that he would love (well I knew he would love everything from Little Miss), but it had to be functional so it wasn’t just placed in her keepsake box. I was going through my stash and found some picture frame mattes I had saved from picture frames over the years and I knew exactly the perfect gift. And then this homemade picture frame was born.

I set up an invitation to paint for Little Miss and instead of using any painting tools I let her paint with her fingers. To say she was in love would be an understatement. She loves to be messy (but only for 2.2 minutes and then she is done haha).

We left the picture matte dry and then we added it to a picture frame. We are going to let her daddy pick a special picture to put in it for his desk at work so for now it has a picture of mommy and daddy in it.

He doesn’t have any special art at work from Little Miss so this will be the perfect addition to his desk :)

This will be part of a Kid DIY Gift Ideas Roundup on Instagram On Monday morning at 10 am. Be sure to follow me on IG at @macntatersblog (direct link at the top of the blog) so you don’t miss all the awesome gifts fellow IGers will be sharing.
