Transportation Themed Books for Kids

I’ve said it many times before, but boy do I love a good book and having themed books on my bookshelves for us to read during our themes is a must. While I have a HUGE selection of my own books that I have gathered over the years, I also frequent the library to find new treasures that I may not have. I have complied a list of books that we have read throughout our Transportation Tot School Unit.

Freight Train by Donald Crews is a great little board book that is perfect for little ones learning their colors. It is such an easy read and the illustrations, while simple, are amazing and help tell the story perfectly.

Little Blue Truck by Alice Schertle is by far one of our favorite books. Little Blue and all his friends have to work together to get a big dump truck out of the mud. This fun tale will have your little ones reading along as all the animals and trucks make noises all throughout. It is such a great book for teaching about helping others and what true friends are all about.

Goodnight Johnny Tractor by Running Press was a book that Little Miss found on our Library Trip. She LOVES tractors so this one has been on repeat. Our favorite part of this book is that it glows in the dark. What little one wouldn’t love a glow in the dark book. Such an adorable story with this added element of fun.
