One of my most favorite ways to finish a unit study is to have a family movie night. We try to have them at least once a month. One of my kids newest favorites has been the Chronicles of Narnia series and we created an entire day based on The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe to go along with our Into the Wardrobe unit study.
I typcially always just throw together things that we have on hand to go with our movie days, but for this one I created a whole movie theme kit which is included in the Ultimate Unit Study: Into the Wardrobe, Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe unit study. The kit comes with printable invitations, decor, activities, and more to transform your whole day into a grand Narnia adventure.
Our Narnia day started out with special invitations which my kids found tucked outside their bedroom doors, inviting them to a special showing of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
They came downstairs to find our kitchen transformed into a place fit for Kings and Queens of Narnia. I so badly wanted to create a big wardrobe the kids could walk through, but ran out of time.
We spent the morning crafting fancy goblets for the kids to drink out of and shields and swords so we were ready for battle.
Then we dined with the beavers and had fish and potatoes.
After the kids finished with rest we had teatime with Tumnus and Lucy and dined on some banana bread and toast.
We watched Chronicles of Narnia together as a family and finished our evening off with dinner with Aslan which was rotini and meatsauce that I made to look like Aslan.
We had such a fun day!!! If you are looking to have your very own Narnia movie night and would like some decorations and table decor to spruce up your day, you can grab the entire Movie day pack as well as so many more amazing Narnia themed resources from the Into the Wardrobe Unit study.
