For NARNIA!!!! Join the Pevensie siblings as they journey "Into the Wardrobe" and embark on an epic adventure through Narnia.

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by CS Lewis is a captivating adventure for kids of many ages. My kiddos, ages 6 and 8, are hooked and cannot wait to read more of the books and watch the rest of the movies. My daughter has already read through the whole series, but cannot wait to read them again together, that's how much she loves them.

We love a good unit study in our house and love having resources at the ready to go along with our theme. Our unit studies are typically based on a book or theme and having resources that are a "one stop shop" kind of resource is so helpful when planning.

One of the resources we have used alongside our The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe literature study is the "Into the Wardrobe" unit study bundle from The Ultimate Unit Study. This unit study is a collaborative project, which I have also been able to contribute to, and was created to make planning a Narnia and winter themed unit study easy and grab and go. This unit study bundle is packed full of beautiful activities that include language arts, history, crafts, recipes, writing, art, mini units, movie day activities, and more.

Take a Peek Inside the "Wardrobe"

The "Into the Wardrobe" unit study comes with a calendar that you can follow as you journey through the book. This calendar is simply a suggestion of how you can break up and use all of the resources in the bundle. Use the materials that work best for you and your family in the order that works best for you.

The unit study includes a Student notebook that comes in both manuscript and cursive font which makes this a resource that you can use with multiple ages. Our goal with these studies is to be able to use them as a family. A teacher's guide of how to use the student notebook as you read through the book is also included.

The fun thing about unit studies is the freedom to incorporate mini units throughout and we have included a mini lion unit in this study and it is beautiful. It has 3 part cards, labeling posters and activities, a handpaint lion mask, and so much more.

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is considered an allegory, a story interpreted to reveal a hidden meaning. There is so much symbolism woven throughout the story and the Into the Wardrobe: Symbolism in Nature section of this study will help you walk through identifying the symbolism with your children. This section also includes some fun coloring pages and dot marker pages for the littlest Narnia adventurers.

History is always one of the hardest things for me to incorporate into our studies because I it has never been one of my strengths, but my kids are big History fans so I absolutely love when unit studies include a history component. The story takes place during WWII. The children are sent away so that they can escape the air raids. The Kids of WWII mini unit and Companion Journal included in the unit study walks children through the different parts of the war. This will help children to understand what was happening during the time the Pevensie children were exploring Narnia.

Every unit we do includes "fun" activities and the crafts and recipes and art pages in this unit are sure to be enjoyed by the whole family.

One of my absolute favorite things to do to end a unit is to have a Family Movie Night. We make a whole day of it and do fun activities, eat yummy themed food, and end the day with a movie. The best part is when there is an actual movie that goes along with the book like with The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. We love to decorate and have fun activities to do and my contribution to this bundle was an entire kit for you to set up a Chronicles of Narnia movie day for your family, complete with printable decorations, crafts, food ideas as well as a compare and contrast sheet and Narnia wardrobe file folder activity. Check out more from our Narnia Family Movie Night here.

This unit really is a wonderful "one stop shop" kind of resource that you can use to put together a wonderful Narnia themed unit study. You can check it out, along with many other unit studies at The Ultimate Unit study. Every unit posted is listed on sale for a week and then goes up to full price so be sure to watch our social media channels so you can be the first to know about all future bundles (and sales).
