We have been doing these since my kids were itty bitty and they never get old, just simply change with time and as my babies get bigger. Activity mats are simply a fun little activity mat with a variety of different activities on them for your kids to complete and enjoy and can include anything you would like to do with them. Thanksgiving Mat Supplies & Prep

The supplies for any activity mat will vary depending on what you are going to be practicing, doing etc, but the very basic supplies always consist of a large piece of paper or paper roll and art supplies.

Once you have your supplies prepped, then you need to determine what activities or skills you would like to practice and focus on. When we have holiday themed mats, I tend toward more fun, hands on crafty activities, but have also been known to throw in some "academic" skill activities as well. You can map these out on a piece of paper or simply just starting laying things out and drawing. Whatever works best for you.
