Toy Story is a pretty iconic and safe choice for Family Movie Night. With the exception of a few "scarier parts" that may disturb young children, I do feel comfortable in showing this movie in our home and recommending it as one that most families would enjoy watching for family movie night.
Toy Story Family Movie Night
If you are thinking about hosting a family movie night, be sure to check out some of the "rules" I follow when hosting a movie night. I hope that these posts can help inspire you for your own.
And while our "rules" for family movie night often include themed food, decorations, and activities, sometimes they don't and that is ok. The wonderful thing about setting these up is that you do not have to do the same things every time in order for them to be special.
For our Toy Story Movie Night, the focus was on themed food. You can use these ideas to inspire your own movie night or maybe you are having a Toy Story Themed party with Woody and Buzz that you can use the ideas for.
Toy Story Family Movie Night Food & "Decor"
For our decor this time, I created some food table tents on the computer and printed out a slinky dog printable I found online years ago and a wanted poster I found by googling Toy Story images.
For the food, I made it all themed.
Slinky Dogs
For this I had two different foods. I attached the Slinky Dog Printable into some brats in buns. You could also do hot dogs. We also had some Slinky Dog curly fries.
Buzz Lightyear Sticks
We had to add in a vegetable so we had some Buzz Lightyear Stick green beans.
Mr. & Mrs. Potato Chips
This was a fun little treat to add to our dinner and fit well with the movie characters.
Galaxy Eggs
This was my favorite part of the evening. I made deviled eggs and add some dye free food coloring to them in order to make them colored. I didn't have any blue so I just made everything green. The kids loved these.
The kids filled up their plates and ate their dinner laughing and giggling the whole time about what they were eating.
