As we get more years under our belt with homeschooling, I feel like I have more capacity to add more things to our days. One of the things that we have decided to add into our days this year is learning Spanish. Be sure to check out the full line up of our 2025-2026 Homeschool Curriculum.
Spanish 1 Curriculum
When it arrived, it came in a customized shipping box which I absolutely loved. I forgot to grab a picture of this before tossing the box. I absolutely love companies who pay attention to details and the customer experience and I think Homeschool Languages has done a fantastic job of doing just that.
After opening the shipping box, I was elated to find the most beautiful curriculum storage box. Everything I will need to teach the lessons was included. They do have an option for you to purchase the digital version only, but I highly recommend getting the physical set. All of the extras included is well worth the price you pay for this.
The kit includes a sturdy storage box that you can use to to store all of the cards for the games and activities.
Some of the cards are your traditional playing card thickness while others are a thinner laminated cardboard material which is perfect for lots of use by small hands. Each set of cards is color coded and labeled on the back for quick and easy sorting and storing.
The lesson book is very well done and is broken up into manageable lessons and includes a variety of different skills each lesson. Each lesson includes a lesson focus and vocabulary you will learn in each lesson and every activity is interactive and fun, using the materials included in the kit.
In addition to the lesson booklet, the kit includes a blow up globe, miscellaneous games and cards, a little hardcover reader book, and a fun puppet who is used during the lessons.
My kids immediately took Alberto and have been using him to speak all the words they already know in Spanish. I think its important for kids of all ages to have fun when learning. This Spanish curriculum has been created with fun in mind and I love that.
The great thing about Homeschool Languages curriculum is that they have a variety of languages that you can choose from, not just Spanish. You can choose from Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, or Italian and all curriculums kits seem to be similarly set up to this one.
