Wow, what a great couple weeks learning all about the true meaning of Easter and having fun with eggs and bunnies and carrots. You can check out our plans for the month including the activities we had planned for our two weeks of Easter learning on our April Plans post.
Here is a peek into what we ended up doing between playing outside and enjoying our absolutely beautiful spring weather. Sometimes you just have to abandon all plans and play outside.
Easter themed sensory bins aka sensory floor are always a fun time. The best parts about these ones: cheap and both kids had a blast.
We love using different things to paint outside of the normal paintbrushes and one of our new favorite tools is a fork. Stamping things with the fork gives such a neat texture and design to whatever it is we are creating. Our Fork Painted Paper Plate Chick craft was a fun “while mommy is cooking dinner” activity for Little Miss to complete.
We love playdough and this playdough loose parts spring/Easter playdough tray did not disappoint and many fabulous creations were made.
Little Man and Little Miss had fun sorting eggs with these cheap egg holders. I love activities that are great for both of them to do together.
We love to move and groove around here and this musical Easter eggs activity was a hit with both kids.
We have been working on our cutting practice and we had some paint chips lying around which we easily turned into some fun thematic cutting practice.
We discussed how Jesus died for our sins and the rose again 3 days later. These resist at crosses are the perfect reminder of Jesus’ sacrifice.
We had so much fun and we are already looking forward to what next Easter brings for tot school and preschool.
