We ended our Weather Preschool Unit with a Family Day consisting of fun activities, food, and watching the Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs movie.
This was such a fun way to end our weather unit and the kids had such a great day which makes it all worth it.
The kids were greeted with our Cloud & Rain wall completely transformed into the town of Chewandswallow and a fun table set up complete with a fun sensory bin they both could enjoy. We have had our tissue paper cloud and paper raindrop cloud wall up in our homeschool room the whole unit and we moved it into the playroom and stuck plastic play food to the wall to look like it was raining food.
After the initial shock of the wall wore off (let’s be honest they were on cloud nine all day) we ate breakfast which consisted of banana and grapes (bananostrich).

The rest of the day we snacked on too much junk food to count during our viewing of Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs and Cloudy #2,
made and snacked on some strawberry Barrys,
dined on a delicious dinner of spaghetti and meatballs,
and finished off the great day with some peanut butter ball “meatballs” the kids helped make.
The kids also had fun measuring and counting with this fun spaghetti and meatballs activity.
It was such a fantastic family day. We are looking forward to our next family movie day event.
