Musical Dinosaur Tracks. Need I say more? We absolutely love a good gross motor activity. Add in some fun learning ideas, like letters, gross motor skills, numbers and more plus dinosaur tracks and you have a great activity all kids can enjoy (and maybe even mama too). Let’s just say it made for fun dance party.
I started by cutting out some dinosaur footprints from some construction paper. On each of the footprints I added some letters we have been learning, some gross motor skills that incorporated the numbers 1-5, and some shapes.
We spread them out face down on our playroom rug, turned on some music, and got our dance on. I would pause the music and the kids would pick up a dino track and would say the letter and sound it made on the back or did the activity.
We continued until all our dino tracks were complete and then danced some more. Such a fun activity for all of us to enjoy and get some energy out.
Some of the gross motor activities I wrote on the back:
+ Do 1 Jumping Jack.
+ Pat your head 2 times.
+ Clap 3 times.
+ Skip 4 times.
+ Jump 5 times.
