Welcome to our A is for Apple Theme Planning post and welcome to Mac-n-Taters. If you are new here and you are interested in our preschool units, you can check out our entire curriculum on our Preschool Landing page. You will be able to find all the information you need to get started with us as well as find all our preschool themes in one place.
This will be a 20 day (4 week unit). Each week has a focus book listed. While some of the activities are loosely based on the specific book, you could easily supplement other apple themed books if need. While each activity is only listed on our calendar once, feel free to repeat activities with your child as you see fit.
In the download below you will find book suggestions, Bible learning ideas, plus 20 days of activities that you can use to help teach your child about apples and the apple life cycle. Directions or links to directions are provided right in the square for the activity so you have it one easy to find location. Please be sure to read all of the unit suggestions and weekly insights provided to get a better feel for where we will be going with our learning each week.
We are excited to offer some extra learning ideas for the little tots in your life. If your little one is anything like our little man, you probably have a little tot wanting to be involved in all of the activities just like your older children. I personally try to include Little Man in all of our activities, but sometimes an activity just isn't something that he is able to do so I want to make sure I have some activities that he can do during those times so he can feel included as well. I added these to the end of the download below.
Pinterest is a fantastic resource for gathering ideas. You can check out all the wonderful inspiration for this unit on our Apple Theme Board.
You can find a comprehensive supply list of things that we use and love on our homeschool supply list post; however, here are some extra items not listed that you may find helpful as you play your way through the theme.
