Family Movie Nights are one of our favorite family traditions. We do not watch tv much so when we do it is a real treat for all of us. I love getting to be creative between planning the simplified decorations and food menu and occasionally some activities to go along with the movie/theme. One of my goals for this year is to have a themed family movie night at least once a month and we kicked off the year with our very first movie day, Monster's Inc Themed.
We kicked off the day making an apple pie together for our dessert and then watched the movie.This time I didn't plan any other activities for the day, but the kids spent their afternoon drawing different monsters from the movie in their free time.
We dined on Monster Meatballs, Mike's grapes, Monster popcorn, and Sully's Chips and Cheese and topped it off with our homemade apple pie. The addition of the googly eyes was a huge hit with both kids.
We had such a fun day together and look forward to our next family movie day!!!
